As well as Great Torrington itself, you'll find that Dartington Crystal, Torrington Golf Course, and the famous Tarka Trail are all within easy walking distance of Hill Farm. For those who enjoy a spot of fishing, Darracott Reservoir is conveniently less than 2 miles away, with fishing permits readily available for a relaxed afternoon by the water.

For those seeking horticultural excellence, RHS Garden Rosemoor is also conveniently located nearby, offering 65 acres of stunning gardens, woodlands and an arboretum for an inspiring day out.

The nearest, Instow, Westward Ho! and Northam Burrows, are both only 20mins away.

  • Instow has a long stretch of sandy beach, sand dunes, parking beachside and plenty of spots for children to go crabbing!

  • Westward Ho! offers 2 miles of golden sand backed by a pebble ridge. Look in rock pools, build sand castles, fly kites or have a surf lesson

Also nearby are the famous beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe (‘best beach in the UK’) and Bude. Tide times can be found here
